1973 GT Beetle

We dedicate the restoration of this GT Beetle to its previous keeper, the late Madelaine Merchant.

I have owned this car for several years and many regular customers will remember it parked in my drive. Thanks to the lockdown we made time and carried out a thorough restoration of it.

The body's removed from the pan. It now features two VW heater channels, four new complete quarter panels spare wheel trough, front and rear valances, four new wings, 2 x German used doors and bonnet. There is new trim everywhere including the headlining, door cards, velour seat covers, new glass inc heated rear.

The chassis was totally stripped and new BQ pans welded in. A new VW axle was fitted with new disc assemblies, rear drum assemblies, hydraulics and cables all round. The original engine has been totally rebuilt and is fully detailed with the addition of a new complete exhaust system, clutch kit and Cogbox rebuilt

carb. The original wheels have been stripped/refinished and they roll on new Continental tyres. Any inspection welcome POA
